Almost time…

Tuesday, August 21st, 2007

I leave on Monday for the World Cup!  I am very excited.  It is hard to believe that in a few weeks we will be playing North Korea (September 11…make sure you watch it)!

I have been doing a lot of packing and making sure I am ready to go.  I have made lots of trips to Target, Best Buy and the grocery store.  I picked up a few TV series and lots of books to keep me busy in our off time!  I’ve also charged up my camera so continue to check out www.nikesoccer.com.

We have one more domestic match on Saturday night against Finland.  This is our send off match and it is always energizing knowing how much support we have before heading over to China.

I will write more later……

Chicago game-Thank you

Monday, August 13th, 2007

Thank you to everyone who came to Chicago to see the New Zealand game.  I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to see so many familiar faces in the crowd.  I’m sorry I didn’t have a chance to see everyone or sign an autograph for everyone, but please know that I really appreciate your support.

I have a few days off before we head to LA for our send off game.  We play Finland on Aug. 25th and we leave for China on Aug. 27th.  I’m trying to get organized and packed for China!  It is going to be very difficult trying to pack for over a month in one bag that has to be less than 50 lbs!  I have a feeling I might be over the weight limit! J

Thanks again for your support and encouragement.  Playing in Solider Field with so many friends and family there was very special and I will never forget it.

A special thanks to my campers who wore their shirts, made signs and I even saw a few with gold Tarpley jerseys!  I was so excited to see you girls.  Good luck this fall.
