Welcome

I recently returned from South Korea where we competed in the Peace Queen Cup.  We won the tournament and it was a great experience for us. It helped us prepare for our qualifications matches at the end of the month.

While we were in South Korea we were fortunate to go to the DMZ.  The DMZ stands for the Demilitarized Zone and Military Demarcation Line.  It was a really neat experience.  The Zone is about 155 miles long and about 2.5 miles wide.  We were lucky to go on a tour given  by U.S soldiers and we learned about the Korean War and how North and South Korea currently live.  I learned so much on our tour!

We started the tournament by tying Denmark. They were a good team and played us well.  We won our next three matches against Australia, Netherlands and Canada.  We were mainly in Seoul, but traveled to Busan for our first game. Seoul was heavily populated and the traffic was terrible!  The stadiums were World Cup stadiums and the atmosphere was fun to play in.

I’m going to post a few pictures from South Korea.  I hope you enjoy them!

All the best-
Lindsay
